But you see, don't you? How she just lurks around the edges of court and goes through the motions like ... like some terrifying polite sheevra-possessed automaton from a Night of the Dead story! It's unsettling! And ... it makes me sad. And I miss her. But I'm so angry! And I don't know what to say to her! But I want to say something. I'm so over being angry at her. Ooh, but I can never not be angry at her with what she did! Let's throw her to the wolves!
-- no, that would be too cruel. She's suffering so much already. You can tell, can't you? She's a shadow of herself! That's what's really been killing her all these months -- years, really -- when she's suddenly just changed!

I had a new idea for how we could find out who he is, by the way! His horse! He may be able to hide his face, but his horse is a lot harder to disguise! We just have to look for a black horse with a white forelock who's foaming after the tourney is over, and we have him!
Oh, but that would almost spoil it, wouldn't it?
I hope he actually is here! I feels like forever since I saw him last! And -- well, my song would be a little embarrassing if he doesn't show! I might not be able to play it at all, in that case!
Oh, who is that getting up to the lists? ... sigh, not him, yet. Just Josiah and someone who is definitely about to lose. Hardly the stuff of songs and legends. Where is the Mystery Knight??

Can I put something about you and Finlay in my song? It's just a hint! It's not outright! The music I was composing reminded me a bit of you, so I wrote this line!
the autumn-wind queen and her golden king,
married by the river in the full bloom of spring,
took their sweet vows with the water bubbling,
whispering love together
You see? It's beautiful! It's the best lyrics I ever wrote. This one isn't for the song about the two of you, this is for the mystery knight one, but I'm trying to add some flavour into it and I came up with that and I think you can agree that it's harmless but also amazing!

I've been trying to write a song to play on the Midsummer Festival -- it's almost like a letter to the Mystery Knight! He'll be there for the tourney, and so logically, he'll also be there for the celebration afterwards, once he has time to clean up and hide his identity from the piercing eyes of us admirers. And I thought, what better way to talk to him than to perform something truly moving?
But everything comes out awful! The lyrics are fine, but I can't get the music right, and I don't care what anyone says, the music is a thousand times more important!My mother was write about that at l

Hasn't this week been so fun?! Ever since we went out with Skyler last week for these clothes, it's like we're the center of the world! I've never felt like this before, not ever! So many people have commented on my clothes -- and some of them have even said they think I've lost weight! Well, I haven't, but I guess good clothes can make it look like I have!
But ... there's one thing dulling all of this, isn't there? This should be the best week of my life, being so important and admired, but I just keep thinking about poor, poor Ebony ...

I'd hate to have wasted all of that effort writing my letter to the Mystery Knight if it wasn't ever going to be seen! I stayed up until four in the morning last night making all my revisions to it, so if I look a little bleary eyed here today ...
